Mendelssohn's Sonatas for violoncello and piano played by Robert Nagy, the principal cellist of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, together with Japan's proud pianist, Hiromi Okada. Genius Mendelssohn who died prematurely expressed various natural endowments as a composer, instrumentalist, conductor and tried his hand at painting as well, left two pieces of cello sonatas in his lifetime. These romantic and elegant pieces offer many hook-lines for the piano as well as for the cello. Nagy and Okada cherish the pieces, weave beautiful melodies as they find delight in the ensemble, and showed exquisite and delicate, passionate and brilliant performance. The album also contains recording of the serene and sweet small piece, Song Without Words for the cello and piano.
